BOB RATHWELL CUP
In 2008, the Ottawa Cup was renamed to the Bob Rathwell Cup in memory of a great man and soccer founder in our region, Bob Rathwell.
In 2010, the Bob Rathwell Recreational Cup, the one day format is still the same with slightly longer games but we have opted to go with CASH prizes for the winners and the finalists. The competitive cup will remain single game knock out with the CASH prizes for the winners and the finalists.
The winners will receive an award of $500 and the finalists will receive an award of $250.
Round Robin games are 35 minutes each where you are guarenteed 3 games
Semi Finals and Finals are 40 mintues each (2 x 20 minutes)
Generally the tournament takes place at Centrepointe park for the Recreational teams
Competitive teams kick off at Lytle Park and then continue other rounds at various times around the city.
Dates for 2010:
Women Rec - June 5 (all Wr divisions and W30+ can apply) - One day Tournament
Men Rec- June 6 (All MR divisions and some OT if you wish to play can apply) One day Tournament
Men Comp start June 12, 19 and continue through the season - Knock out format
Women Comp start depends on the number of applicants
